Eyes to the sky
We took Declan to his first air show last weekend. He loved looking at all the planes and jets. He wanted to ride in all of them! The cutest thing he did though was call the seagulls "thunderbirds". He enjoyed watching the real Thunderbirds though, and didn't seem to mind the noise too much!
Summertime fun with daddy
We all went to Raging Waters a few weeks ago and Declan had a blast. Especially playing with daddy in the water!

The TERRIBLE two's!
No...it's not a myth...Yes...it really exists. The terrible two's have possessed our sweet little boy! It's ripped through our home like an angry tornado. Be afraid...be very afraid!!! Lurking behind the doors of the McAlhany home is a tantrum throwing, cat tail pulling, nekked dancing, no nap taking, crayon wall artist, chocolate milkaholic, into everything, danger seeking, non-sharing, master of the tv volume control, crazed Britney Spears "Womanizer" fan who makes his mother drive to the bank just to get him a sucker whenever he wants one. Can you tell who wears the pants in the family? It's our son...Declan. I'm at the library every week trying to find new books to help me cope, and help me fight back against this little 2 foot tall monster!! Of course, I can't let him see my fear...I am the boss. I am the mother. I giveth the sucker, therefore I can taketh away! ....right? Underneath that little two year old terror...there is a sweet boy. I've seen him! He gives me hugs and kisses and smiles to melt anyone's heart. We just have to get through this "mine! mine! mine!" stage and transform our son back into the thoughtful, giving, loving little man we know he can be. Wish us luck!!!!!!

Camping Cutie!
This was our first camping trip of the season! Nana and Papa have a trailer up at Eagles Lodge and that is where we spent our memorial day weekend. We had lots of fun making smores, visiting cousins, and playing at the playground. The Not-so-fun part came at bedtime! Read on for the details!
Nope! Not tired at all!
Bedtime was a nightmare! Declan would not go to sleep! I think he was too excited to be sleeping somewhere different. Or maybe he couldn't sleep because of papa's snoring! But everytime he heard a snore from papa, he would giggle and say "Papa farted!" I laughed and then told him "no, he is snoring...now go to sleep!" Later on, he got a bit homesick and cried to go home. That was tough to hear. I just held him really close and told him everything was going to be ok and that I was right there next to him.

Splish Splash!
Declan loooooves his bubble baths. He thinks it's funny to put the bubbles on his face to look like "Santa Claus." This beard was perfect!!! Not quite as full as Santa's though!
He's still learning not to eat the bubbles!!!!

Our Easter Weekend!
Hope everyone had a blessed Easter weekend! Declan and his daddy and I had a blast this weekend! We did so many fun things! It was perfect! Check out the pictures below to see all the fun Declan had!
Declan LOVES The Easter Bunny! Probably even more than he loves Santa Claus!!!
Declan's first Easter egg hunt!
Declan went to his very first Easter egg hunt this past week with the kids in my mom's group! Mommy was in such a hurry and having a stressful day that she forgot to bring his Easter basket! Ooops! Bad mommy!
Baby Animal Festival!
This weekend I took Declan to The Baby Animal Festival in Wellsville. It was so much fun! I made Declan kiss all the baby animals! I hope they were clean! hahaha! He had no problem smoochin' on the animals...he loved all of them! Especially the little baby ducks! They were his favorite! What a great event! We can't wait to go back next year!

Huntin' for Easter candy with the cousins!
I took Declan to a local grocery store where they handed out candy for the kiddies. Declan also got to see the Easter Bunny with his adorable cousin Kate.

After Declan found all the eggs the Easter Bunny hid through the house, we all headed up to Snowbasin ski resort to have Easter Brunch in the lodge. Declan loved the Easter Bunny cookies!It was warm and sunny outside but there was still snow on the ground so we watched a lot of skiers come down the mountain!
Let's Go Fly a Kite!
The Easter Bunny brought Declan a kite! So daddy, mommy and Declan went to the park to fly it! Actually the park is only 3 houses down so it's really close! There wasn't much wind but we were able to get Mickey in the air for a little while at least!

Look Alike??
My Uncle Jack made the comment today that Declan looks like a "young Robert Redford." I can kind of see that!!! I posted a pic of both of them for you to decide! Both are very handsome that's for sure!
