Thanksgiving at Snowbasin
We spent turkey day at Snowbasin again this year. And from the moment we arrived, Declan had only one thing on his mind...he wanted to ride the gondola. So after we ate, we took a ride to the top of the mountain in the gondola. David's brother Jason was able to join us for a very lovely thanksgiving dinner. Here are some shots of the day-

October Happpenings!
What a busy month it has been! I think we kind of over-did Halloween this year! We went to quite a few parties wearing quite a few different costumes! And Declan has had enough candy to last him all year! And this month more than ever we have seen our little toddler become more of a little boy. Sometimes a sweet boy...sometimes a sassy boy!! Here are some snapshots of the past month and all the fun our little boy has had!!!

Declan with his Great Aunt Shirlee. She really is great!!!!!!In early October we took a trip to the sand dunes with Declan's great aunt Shirlee and Uncle John and cousins! He LOOOVED riding the ATV's. We sure wish papa and nana could have been there but they were not able to make it that weekend.

Our trip to the moon!
A couple weeks ago, we went up to the top of Snowbasin in a gondola. When we got to the top, we had dinner and looked at the glorious moon! We even got to see it up close through a special telescope. Declan loved the ride up and especially loved looking at the moon (something he loves to do all the time!) Who knows...maybe my son will get to walk on it someday!

Abbey- Then and Now
Today we had to put our cat Abbey down. I had her for 10 years and she was a sweet cat. Declan loved Abbey too and will miss her I'm sure. I wonder sometimes if he will remember her when he gets older. I can remember (vaguely) my first pet and I was younger than Declan! I'm glad I have pictures of the two of them together...like the ones below. It shows (first) curiosity, love and a friendship that I hope he will remember forever. Rest in peace Abbey. We will miss you.

Mr. Independant
What a big boy Declan has become! He is VERY independant...or at least he's trying to be. He wants to make his own food, pour his own drinks, walk without holding our hands, push the cart at the grocery store and buckle his own seatbelt in his car seat. We hear "Declan do it!" at least 20 times a day! Here he is at the 4th of July parade in Grantsville, UT. This was his very first parade and he seemed to like it! He got lots of candy...I think that was his favorite part! We made sure to brush his teeth really good that night!
