Having a child has not only brought me lots of joy, but it has brought me new friendships. Last fall I joined a mom's meetup group and now I help organize it. I think I'd go crazy if I had to stay at home all the time, so it's great for Declan and I to get out of the house and do fun things with other moms and their kids. I'm lucky to know such a great group of ladies!

Summer days!
Summer officially begins tomorrow but Declan and I have been getting some summer fun in already! From luau's to park visits, to Kindermusik and swimming...we've been quite busy already! Check out all the fun we've been having the past few weeks...
Fun at the luau!
What a lucky boy Declan is to be sitting next to two beautiful girls! These are his friends from the meetup group. Mikayla on the left and Emma on the right. And doesn't Declan look so handsome in his hawaiian shirt??!
One of the moms in our meetup group made this really cool fruit platter. It was the perfect addition to our luau!
Kindermusik!
Declan has been taking Kindermusik classes and loves it! He loves playing the instruments! He's the only kid in the class that actually starts dancing when the music comes on! What can I say...the boy has rhythm!

My first summer vacation...by Declan.
Whoever said traveling with a baby was stressful has never traveled with me before! Apparantley, I am a wonderful traveler! That's what mommy and daddy keep saying anyway! We all had a great time as a family!! From the day we left til the day we came home, we had non-stop fun. I got to see many new things that made me say "wow!" From the beach, to Sea World, to my grandpapa running a marathon! Everything I saw was simply amazing! And staying in the hotel was fun too! I slept like a baby! Wait a minute...I am a baby! Anyway, this is the story of my first summer vacation....enjoy!
My first plane ride!
I was very good on my first plane ride...which made mom and dad very happy!! The ladies who give you the peanuts and crackers were very nice to me and so were the other passengers. Everyone tried to play peek-a-boo with me! I had lots of fun!
In the event of a water landing...
Thought I'd study up on what to do if I need to use my seat as a floatation device! This is important stuff!
My San Diego Friend!
I have a new friend...his name is Aydin. (Prounounced (Eye-din). My mommy met his mommy right here on this blog for baby website! So when we decided to come to San Diego, my mommy contatcted his mommy and we got to meet! We went to dinner and walked around Seaport Village. Good times!!

Our parents got to meet eachother too! Aydin's mommy and daddy are super nice! They all had a nice time visiting.
My first time seeing the ocean!
Mommy took me down by the water to see the ocean for the first time. All I have to say is...that is one big swimming pool!!!!

There was so much to see at the beach!! I loved it! It was a great sensory experience! Woah...I sounded so grown up just now! :)
My daddy makes me proud
My daddy makes me so proud for running so far for me! See his bib number...it says "4 Declan". Isn't that cool? He's a great dad...even though he was kinda sweaty that day.
My First Ride!
Mom took me on my very first amusement park ride! Elmo's flying fish!! I had fun but it was kinda hard to see over the fish because I'm so short! We went up and down and up and down. I loved flying thru the sky!
The end of my trip
What a fun time I had on my first summer vacation! I think we're all exhausted, I'm going to take a little nap. Thanks for reading about my summer vacation to California!
Here comes trouble!
Look who's crawling!! Declan began his first crawl on Mother's day! I don't know why we were so anxious for him to start crawling...it's so much harder now!! We have to keep most of the doors to the rooms shut, we have to pick little things off the floor so he doesn't put them in his mouth, we have to constantly chase him around! It's fun, but woah...hard work! :) I think he is really excited about his new skill because he has a hard time sleeping at night. I think he just wants to stay up and crawl all night long! Look out world cause here he comes!!!!!!!
