My grandma McAlhany came to visit us last week! She flew in from South Carolina which is about ten thousand miles away. We did lots of fun things like going for walks, swimming, going out to eat, taking a train ride and playing with toys. I don't get to see Grandma McAlhany very often so I'm glad I got to spend some time with her. I love you Grandma!

I tried a lemon for the first time...mom and dad laughed but I don't see why it was so funny! I don't think I like lemons!
Train Ride
mom, dad, me and grandma all went on a train ride to Salt Lake. I loved looking out the window at all the passing cars!

My Camping Trip... by Declan
Mom took me camping this past weekend! We went with my nana and papa and my cousins. I love being outdoors so momma knew I'd have a really fun time!
Dirt!
Ok, so far I LOVE camping because it's the only time momma has let me get this dirty! I put sticks and rocks and everything in my mouth and didn't get in trouble! Camping rocks!

Mom says it just wouldn't be camping if I didn't try my very first smore! It was very sticky but yummy!
Good morning!
It was so much fun sleeping in a bed instead of my crib! But momma said I hogged the whole bed. I tossed and turned a lot so momma had to sleep on the edge of the bed. Sorry mom!
Gone Fishin'!
Papa said we were going fishin' so we went to this big lake. I thought fish lived at Petsmart! That's where momma takes me to see them!
My first fish encounter!
My cousin Preston is quite the fisherman! He's only 8 years old but he caught this cool fish! It was slimy and wiggly. I can't wait til I'm bigger and older so I can catch a fish too!

I was hoping someone would catch a bear or moose or something. But I guess all they have in this lake is fish!

Word of the day!
Ok...bragging time!! It seems like Declan learns a new word everyday! We only need to say the word a couple times and he learns it! My little 16 month old genius can now say 14 words!!

He's also my back up singer when I'm singing Big Yellow Taxi. He adds the "bop bop bop" part. :) He only has to hear the first 2 notes of the song and he chimes in with "bop bop bop". Yeah, I know...my kid is amazing. :)

Proud to be an American...
